"Neither my mother nor grandmother had ever been to Italy when I was growing up, but they instilled in me a love of all things Italian. I thanked them for that years later when the Tre Generazioni went together to Florence, Rome, and Chieti. I have a B.A. in Italian Literature from the University of Illinois - Chicago. I've been to 19 of the 20 regions, so watch out Valle d'Aosta - you're next! I love wine but like brown liquor enough to have named my dog Whiskey. My nephew Hunter is a Judo Expert and a boy genius. Chicago is a great place to live, even in the winter."
