Black walnut husk, game and truffle chocolate to the plums and dark cherries. Medium- to full-bodied palate with firm and fine-grained tannins that glide through to a juicy, bright finish. Lovely austerity here will help it hold. From organically grown grapes. Drink or keep.
Green apple and lemon zest/oil dominate the aromatic profile, showcasing a mineral-driven character. Lean on the palate with a salty quality, this wine pairs exceptionally well with oysters or other seafood dishes.
Though firm, there is an elegance to this red, whose flavor profile ranges from strawberry and cherry to tobacco and tea. Taut and linear, with fine balance and a long, red fruit, stone and savory aftertaste. Best from 2025 through 2042
The 2009 Alta Langa Metodo Classico Pas Dosé Riserva Zero 140 (a blend of 85% Pinot Nero and 15% Chardonnay) is not quite full-bodied but almost, showing plenty of rich layering and texture. The number 140 in the sparkler's name refers to the number of months this special bottle ages on the lees. This is a real beauty with peach, orchard fruit, baked bread, toasted pine nut and hints of dusty mine
The 2020 Ghiaie della Furba opens with a mentholated freshness, blending minty herbs, spiced orange peels and red currants. It envelops the palate in textures of pure silk, quickly gaining grip with a core of tart red berries and sour citrus as edgy tannins pinch at the cheeks. This finishes with admirable length, structure and concentration, leaving a pleasantly bitter tinge to linger as hints of cedar and a savory herbal thrust slowly fade. The 2020 needs time, and a lot of it.

Absolutely delicious and stunning for the price. Loads of cherry/blueberry fruit, plus a streak of spiciness, and terrific structure. Mouth-filling and long.
The pale pink of the glass belies the intense aromatics and rich mouthfeel of this rosé. Wild strawberries and peach candy on the nose give way to more berries and stone fruit on the palate, with a bit of blood orange and lime and a lick of quartz on the finish.
